BankProv Donates $10,000 to Portsmouth Music and Arts Center to Support Student Ensembles

BankProv proudly announces a $10,000 donation to Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC), furthering its commitment to supporting arts and culture in the local community. This contribution will directly sponsor PMAC’s student ensemble program, ensuring that aspiring musicians have access to high-quality education and performance opportunities.

As the 2025 Student Ensemble Sponsor for PMAC's Annual Spring Fever for the Arts Gala on Friday, April 11, BankProv's support will enable young musicians from one of PMAC's Teen Jazz Ensembles to perform onstage at Jimmy's Jazz & Blues Club in downtown Portsmouth. In addition to showcasing their talents and celebrating the impact of arts education in the community, these youth students will have the transformational opportunity to share the stage and perform alongside world-renowned, Grammy Award-winning musicians from the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.

“At BankProv, we recognize the vital role that arts and culture play in building strong and vibrant communities,” said Joe Reilly, President & CEO of BankProv. “PMAC’s dedication to fostering creativity and inclusivity aligns with our mission to invest in organizations that make a meaningful difference. We are honored to support their student ensemble program and help provide opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds to explore their artistic potential.”

PMAC, founded in 2002, is a nonprofit community music and visual arts school with a 22-year history of providing accessible arts education. With a mission to build community through the arts, PMAC ensures that people of all ages, abilities, and economic backgrounds have the opportunity to achieve their full creative potential. The organization offers a diverse range of programs, including art classes, music ensembles, choirs, private lessons, music therapy, and more, serving students from childhood through retirement.

“Our community partners play a vital role in supporting PMAC’s mission, helping us ensure that all those interested in arts education programs have an accessible path to participation,” shared PMAC CEO Russ Grazier. “Through their sponsorship of the Spring Fever gala, BankProv is making a meaningful impact that affects PMAC’s year-round arts education efforts, including the Student Ensemble Program, the Tuition Aid Fund, and free or low-cost programs for the entire community.”

By supporting PMAC, BankProv reinforces its commitment to investing in local organizations that enrich the community. Through this sponsorship, the bank hopes to encourage the next generation of artists and musicians while strengthening the cultural fabric of the region.
