The celebration of manufacturing in New Hampshire continues at the 16th Annual Governor’s Advanced Manufacturing and High Technology Summit on November 2nd. This event, which brings together the Business and Industry Association, New Hampshire High Technology Council, New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP), and the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development, celebrates local manufacturers in one of the state’s largest industries.
This event is the final celebration of Manufacturing Month in New Hampshire, of which BankProv is the lead sponsor.
“Manufacturing is one of the largest industries in New Hampshire, yet the shortage of skilled applicants continues to create challenges for companies looking to grow,” explains Dave Mansfield, CEO of BankProv. “Our partnership with NH MEP and other state agencies directly addresses the workforce shortage by educating students about careers in manufacturing while introducing them to high-tech manufacturing companies in New Hampshire. Manufacturing Month aligns perfectly with the Bank’s mission to strengthen the economic development of the regions we serve, and we are proud to be the lead sponsor of this event.”
For the second year in a row, BankProv has partnered with the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP) as part of an ongoing workforce development effort in the Granite State's manufacturing sector.
“The support BankProv provides to our mission to bring awareness to the manufacturing industry in New Hampshire is immeasurable,” comments Zenagui Brahim, President of NH MEP. “With their contribution, we are able to develop training programs for applicants, connect employers with potential candidates, and bring awareness to the manufacturing industry through events like the Annual Governor’s Advanced Manufacturing and High Technology Summit. BankProv is truly committed to New Hampshire, and we are proud to call them partners.”
The 16th Annual Governor’s Advanced Manufacturing and High Technology Summit will feature a message from Governor Christopher Sununu, welcoming remarks by Taylor Caswell, Commissioner of NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs, a Keynote address on Manufacturing 4.1, and concurrent workshops presented by the owners of several manufacturing companies in New Hampshire.
