Chuck Withee Retires as President & Chief Lending Officer at BankProv

BankProv announced today that Chuck Withee, President & Chief Lending Officer, is retiring from BankProv at year-end after a successful 36-year banking career.

Throughout his tenure at BankProv, Withee led and taught a sales system and culture at the Bank that has resulted in continued growth as well as strong net interest margin and profitability. When Withee started with the Bank 18 years ago, assets totaled $240 million and today they are at over $1.6 billion.

Withee also helped develop a number of specialty niches in commercial lending, like Search Fund lending; and continues to be an annual guest lecturer at Harvard Business School on this topic at the Entrepreneurship through Acquisition class.  Withee is also on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Peter T. Paul College of Business & Economics at UNH as well as the Board of Directors at the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority. In December, Withee will be recognized as one of New Hampshire's 200 Most Influential Business Leaders by New Hampshire Business Review.

“I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work at this amazing bank for so long, as well as give back to the business community,” said Withee. I would especially like to recognize my executive colleagues Dave Mansfield, Anne Lapointe and Carol Houle for all of their leadership and friendship these many years.”

“Over his long career, Chuck has earned a strong legacy here at the Bank,” said Dave Mansfield, CEO of BankProv. “We wish him good health and an enjoyable retirement!”

Withee went on to comment, “I am blessed to have the opportunity and means to be able to retire while I’m still healthy and young enough to really enjoy it. I plan to write, teach and continue to mentor business school students and owners,” he said.
