BankProv is pleased to donate $10,000 toward the construction of a new playground at Triton School District’s Salisbury Elementary School. Dave Mansfield, CEO of BankProv, announced the donation after one of the teachers at the school shared the need to replace her school’s important yet aging early childhood playground structure.
“Salisbury Elementary is a dynamic school serving a broad range of students and crucially meeting a diverse range of educational and developmental needs in our community,” says Mansfield. “As the father of an elementary school teacher, I understand how meaningful playground time is when it comes to key physical, intellectual and social learning. BankProv is honored to partner with the Salisbury Elementary School on this community-building project and applauds the dedicated staff and volunteers working hard to make the new playground a reality for their students.”
“The monies that BankProv generously donated to SEC to refurbish an antiquated playground will impact so many children for years to come,” says Salisbury Elementary School Principal James Montanari. “As we know from research, playgrounds get children into action so they can grow physically; encourage children to build social skills; help with cognitive development; help children build sensory activity; and encourage healthy emotional development. Thank you BankProv!”
Salisbury Elementary School serves approximately 625 students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade and is supported by the community, local business and parents. Salisbury’s extensive 21st Century after school program serves students, their parents, and the community through explorations in the arts, science, technology, literature, math and many other interest areas. Other unique features of Salisbury Elementary School include Special Education inclusion, Title I funding, a computer lab, student support centers, student council, enrichment programs, a parent center, and pre-kindergarten.
